Charlotte Pipe’s systems are housed in an underground, blast-resistant building with redundant power and air conditioning, redundant fire suppression and security systems and redundant connectivity to virtually every major carrier in the nation.

“Charlotte Pipe’s computer network is a mission-critical tool that can impact production, customer service and profitability,” says Nicholas Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers. “We’re delighted to offer the levels of performance and protection they need.”

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – March 22, 2012 – Today DataChambers, a North Carolina-based information technology firm, announced it is delivering data protection services to the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem, an organization providing a “home away from home” for the families of hospitalized children.

DataChambers manages and maintains the nonprofit’s daily data backups – encrypting vital information needed to run the organization and storing it on a private cloud infrastructure where it can be easily restored as needed. Automated reports verify each day’s data has been successfully replicated and secured offsite.

“Information about our donors, our guests and the operation of our facilities is something we can’t afford to lose,” says Kathi Grenough, Director of Operations for the House. “With automated protection, we are now confident that our information is safe and are free to focus on the families we serve. It has been a very positive experience for us, backed by excellent customer service from the DataChambers team.”

A nonprofit discount makes the DataChambers data protection services especially affordable to the Ronald McDonald House. As a result, the organization is able to hold down operating costs and spend more of its budget on its core mission.

“Like many successful nonprofits, the Ronald McDonald House is an information-intensive organization with the same technology requirements you would find in a commercial enterprise,” says Nicholas Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers. “We’re delighted to be part of their support team.”

About Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem

Located on Hawthorne Road in Winston-Salem, the Ronald McDonald House provides a welcoming and affordable place to stay for families with sick children being treated at Wake Forest Baptist Health and Forsyth Medical Center. The facility is one of five Ronald McDonald Houses in North Carolina and one of 315 worldwide. For more information, visit www.rmhws.org.

DataChambers Ranks No. 2401 on the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 99 Percent

NEW YORK, August 29, 2011 — Inc. magazine today ranked DataChambers number 2401 on its fifth-annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The company was ranked 298 among other firms in the information technology services field.

The Inc. 500|5000 represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Online retailer ideeli tops this year’s list. DataChambers joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, Honest Tea, Dunkin Donuts and Metrokane, makers of the Rabbit corkscrew, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. DataChambers outpaced that median with a three-year growth of 99 percent.

“We’ve been fortunate to experience strong demand, even during a tough economy,” said Nicholas Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers. “Our growth has been fueled by outsourced information technology solutions that are helping our clients reduce their costs and achieve a level of service and expertise that can be hard for them to replicate on their own.”

The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

Methodology

The 2011 Inc. 500 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2010. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2007 is $100,000; the minimum for 2010 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at www.inc.com/500.

Companies using the service can use Cloud Hosting to replace their existing servers, to augment their existing computing capabilities or to provide redundant processing capacity in the event of an in-house network outage. In each instance they will have the ability to respond to changing information technology needs, without sacrificing performance or paying for excess, unused capacity.

“We’ve designed Cloud Hosting for maximum flexibility so companies can respond quickly to changing business dynamics and budgets,” said Nicholas Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers. “They can lower their hardware and maintenance costs, improve scalability and eliminate the headaches that can come with managing their own in-house servers.”

DataChambers has made significant investments to prepare for the new service offering and ensure maximum availability. The company has added additional high-speed Internet ports to expand network connectivity and new high-availability cloud infrastructure and routers to expand capacity. It also has upgraded existing servers and routers for compliance with IPv6, an emerging Internet protocol.

Cloud Hosting is engineered to meet each client’s objectives and is monitored and managed around-the-clock by the DataChambers network operations team. The service is supported by an onsite power substation and dual power grids, multiple backup generators, state-of-the-art security and surveillance systems, and redundant connectivity to virtually every major communications carrier in the country. In addition, DataChambers and its team are SAS 70 Type II audited to ensure continuous protection of client systems and data.

Cloud Hosting Helps Clinical Ink Manage Peak Demand

One of the early adopters of Cloud Hosting is Clinical Ink, a pioneering provider of electronic source records for clinical trials. DataChambers houses and manages the servers Clinical Ink uses to deliver applications to clients around the globe. With rapid growth, though, Clinical Ink’s processing needs have begun to exceed its current hardware investment.

“Cloud Hosting helps us keep in sync with customer demand,” says Doug Pierce, Clinical Ink CEO. “We can easily scale our capability as our needs ebb and flow, while keeping our hardware investment steady. It’s a much more flexible and affordable alternative than buying new servers to handle peak processing needs.”

John Taylor, Clinical Ink’s director of information technology, credits network designers at DataChambers with quickly engineering an effective solution to support the growing business.

“Within 48 hours, the cloud hosting services we needed were established, and we were up and running,” Taylor said. “We’ve been delighted with the service and the support we’ve gotten from the DataChambers team.”

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – April 26, 2011 – Today DataChambers announced it has been selected by Synergem Emergency Services to host systems that will deliver a Next Generation 9-1-1 network and applications to public safety agencies.

Synergem’s Next Generation 9-1-1 improves response times by more accurately locating 9-1-1 callers and routing calls to the correct public safety answering point. The solution is highly mobile, easily expandable and can be adapted to respond to almost any contingency. For example, emergency service agencies will have unprecedented ability to reroute 9-1-1 calls during a disaster.

Surry County and the city of Winston-Salem will be the first to use the new network, which is expected to be online by June 30, 2011.

“Calls to 9-1-1 can be a matter of life and death.” said Myron Herron, Synergem’s president and chief operating officer. “Downtime is not an option, which is why we chose DataChambers to host our mission-critical technologies.”

DataChambers will house Synergem’s systems in a highly secure, blast-resistant facility supported by an onsite Duke Energy substation and multiple backup generators. The company is SAS 70 Type II audited and maintains a comprehensive, multilevel security program that will safeguard Synergem’s systems and data – including biometric scanners, card scanners and a campus-wide surveillance system. An on-site “carrier hotel” delivers redundant connectivity to the fiber networks of virtually every major communications carrier in the nation.

“DataChambers is supported by enough bandwidth that if a ‘100-year’ event occurs, 9-1-1 calls will not be blocked because of network limitations,” Herron said. “That was a deciding factor in choosing the company, along with their commitment to security and high availability.”

“Synergem is on the forefront of a revolution in how 9-1-1 services are delivered and managed in communities across the nation,” said Nicholas Kottyan, chief executive officer of DataChambers. “We’re delighted to support them in building their business.”

About Synergem Emergency Services

Synergem Emergency Services LLC, based in Greensboro, N.C., supplies benchmark Next Generation 9-1-1 network technology to emergency communications (9-1-1) agencies throughout the U.S. Synergem’s highly-available, fault-tolerant and intelligent Next Generation 9-1-1 (iNG9-1-1TM) Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet) provides unmatched functional and operational capabilities. Designed to be consistent with emerging National Emergency Number Association (NENA) specifications (i3), this system ensures participating jurisdictions are able to enjoy a smooth and cost-effective transition to Next Generation 9-1-1. For more information, visit http://ng9-1-1.net.
