DataChambers achieves highest level of SAS 70 compliance
- Independent audit confirms the information technology and management controls necessary to safeguard client systems and data
Winston-Salem, N.C. (February 25, 2008)
The technology firm DataChambers, LLC today announced it has achieved compliance with rigorous national guidelines governing how datacenters, information technology companies and other services organizations safeguard their clients’ infrastructure systems and data.
An independent audit has demonstrated that DataChambers is in full compliance with the Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70, which is a widely recognized standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Publicly held companies and their vendors are required to comply with SAS 70 by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
DataChambers achieved Type II SAS 70 compliance, which is the most rigorous level defined by the standard.
“By investing in SAS 70 compliance, we’re able to assure clients who use our datacenter and business continuity services that we have documented controls for protecting their most mission-critical information,” said Nicholas Kottyan, DataChambers chief executive officer. “We’ve been able to validate our internal processes and to further demonstrate our leadership in delivering managed information technology services throughout the Southeast.”
DataChambers provides information technology services to both publicly and privately held companies in a wide variety of industries - from financial services and healthcare to manufacturing and professional services.
