February 3, 2004
Winston-Salem, N.C. -- DataChambers, a Winston-Salem data storage and disaster recovery services firm, has signed on Blue Rhino as a new client. Mick Gunter, director of information technology at propane gas products supplier Blue Rhino, said his company's growth has meant it must have secure back-up of its critical data. Blue Rhino is now outsourcing that information back up to DataChambers, which has a new data storage and business continuity operations center in southwest Winston-Salem. Blue Rhino, which has annual revenues of about $260 million, has seen its sales grow tenfold in the last 10 years. DataChambers is offering Blue Rhino security of critical data, redundancy of system support and diversity of telecommunications carriers in order to protect client data, said Shane Byrd, director of sales and marketing for DataChambers.
