The Budd Group Expands Contract with DataChambers for Information Technology and Disaster Recovery Services
Winston-Salem, N.C. (July 21, 2008)
DataChambers, a North Carolina-based technology firm, today announced that The Budd Group has extended and significantly expanded its contract with the company for information technology and disaster recovery services.
Headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C., The Budd Group is a janitorial, landscaping and security services firm with operations across the Southeast. The company has offices in Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville and the Raleigh-Durham region of N.C., in Greenville and Spartanburg, S.C., and in Orlando and Tampa, Fla.
To support The Budd Group’s multistate operations, DataChambers hosts and manages the company’s many computer servers and provides a complete suite of information technology services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. DataChambers also provides workforce recovery seating for The Budd Group in a state-of-the-art disaster recovery center in Winston-Salem, N.C. As a result, critical personnel are able to continue to answer phones and serve customers even if a hurricane, flood or fire makes the company’s offices are inaccessible.
“The team at DataChambers serves as an extension of our operations and frees us to concentrate on the things we do best,” said Gerald Chrisco, chief financial officer for The Budd Group. “We get a level of service that would be virtually impossible to replicate on our own - from state-of-the-art data center security to around the clock monitoring and tech support.”
The Budd Group’s contract extension more than doubles the value of the company’s existing agreement with DataChambers.
“It’s gratifying to work with clients like The Budd Group and to grow with them as they grow,” said Nicholas Kottyan, CEO for DataChambers. “We’re able to eliminate their headaches and bottlenecks, reduce capital expenditures and deliver the specific capabilities they need for a predictable monthly fee.”
